Daniel Johansen teaches architectural history and other subjects related to transformation, building conservation and reuse of buildings and is now working as an associate professor at the Department of Architecture and Technology at NTNU. PhD in art history from NTNU. Has led public debate on architecture and urban development in Adresseavisen as a regular columnist and in other media for over 10 years. In addition to experience from museum work at Trondheim Art Museum and Sverresborg Trøndelag Folk Museum, the main professional focus has been on landscape restoration and building conservation. A major and ongoing focus has been the work to plan the relocation and re-use of protected buildings that have been redeemed by the state in connection with the development of the air force’s combat aircraft base on Ørland. In addition, Daniel Johansen is a board member at the Jewish Museum Trondheim, and an active co-creator in several projects there.
